Thoughtful and enlightened leaders are people-focused and put them at the heart of their business strategy

At Your Learning Days we specialise in training company leaders, from the aspiring and newly appointed to the existing and long-term. Those whose responsibilities range from full leadership and development to those with a more one-to-one coaching and mentoring approach. From new recruits to the fully experienced.

My name is Sheila and I own Your Learning Days and I was asked recently why businesses need us.

So, I sat down and reviewed recent projects and I realised that our role is to challenge business leaders to unpick how they link their people to the business strategy and then to identify those improvements that will result in a culture that is future focused.

At Your Learning Days we know that the knowledge and skills that business leaders require to train, develop, and manage their people are:

• Knowing what their values and beliefs are for the business and themselves

• Empowering their team leaders to have the authority to make a difference

• Being experienced enough to identify gaps in the 'here and now'

• Knowing how to plan training and development that will deliver measurable results

• Being able to develop a team culture that will move their business in the planned direction

• Creating that golden thread - starting from the bottom up and runs through the business

When this process is complete, and the people strategy is identified Your Learning Days work with business owners, senior leaders, teams, and individuals to design and deliver a full set of in-house and online courses to achieve the strategic results.

The time spent linking the business strategy to the people strategy is crucial and vitally important if the goal is unbeatable results.

Culture change is the biggest challenge, but focused and successful businesses invest in their people and make sure performance, productivity and loyalty are the focal point.
